[Be a Better Dev Newsletter] #003 - AWS Learning Accelerator Course Is Now Live!

Hey there folks,

I'm so happy to announce that my brand new course, The AWS Learning Accelerator has just been published and is now available.

I've been working on this course for months after realizing so many folks lack the confidence or experience to leverage AWS to solve real life problems. This is a project focused course where I walk you through designing, setting up, and implementing a completely serverless end to end application. You'll learn about and use core AWS services like S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SNS, IAM, and more.

To learn more about the course, you can visit the URL above. The course landing page also includes a trailer where you can learn more about the content of the course.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support. If you have any questions about the content please feel free to reach out at daniel@beabetterdev.com

The recent announcements of "Serverless OpenSearch" and "Serverless Aurora" come to mind as not-so-serverless serverless offerrings. What are your thoughts? Separately, my recent course - AWS Step Functions Masterclass -...

Be a Better Dev October 21st, 2023 AWS is stepping up their security game by making Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) mandatory for users signing in to root accounts. The new feature is expected to be rolled out by mid 2024 with affected users being notified via e-mail channels. This is a welcome change that probably should have been implemented since day 1. As I've mentioned in previous newsletters and YouTube videos, the amount of users that suffer from inexplicable "hacks" to their AWS...
